I have an IBM R52 laptop with Intel M 750 processor (1.86 Ghz), 512 mb RAM ), can I install Windows 7?
Its Intel Pentium M 750 1.86 GHZ processor, 512 mb RAM (planning to upgrade to 2gb), 40gb hard drive (plus a 1000 gb external hard drive). Can I upgrade to Windows 7 and if I install it, will it be super slow?
With the 2 GB your computer will run Windows 7 no problem and it should even run faster than XP does.
Edit: I guess Nathan hasn’t used 7 yet… I have it running on *three* different computers that have 2 GB including a 1.6 GHz Pentium M laptop with a 40 GB hard drive. The laptop runs better and faster with 7 than it did with a fresh install of XP Pro SP3.
Also, if Alvin is a PC tech I’d like to know where he works so I can make sure to tell everyone to avoid it like the plague. He pulled those requirements from out his @s$.
AND Pareng Meng… It’s Windows 7 he’s asking about. There is no such thing as Windows 2007. It’s also NOT Vista. Windows 7 uses FAR less resources than Vista, so using Vista min. requirements is silly.
